Poem Competition

I felt scared and nervous before saying my poem to the class because I was worried that I would forget my poem when I was recititing it. I felt happy after saying my poem to the class because I remembered my poem off by heart. I think I was awesome at reciting my poem because I said it in a clear voice.

Art

My favourite step of doing this artwork was sketching the tree.

I love my artwork because it looks like the theme I wanted it to be. I wanted the theme to be Autumn. 

 

Persuasive Writing

 

We are learning to write a persuasive piece of writing to try and convince the reader our opinions. I can come up with reasons why you should buy this broken toy.

It was tricky to come up with reasons because the teddy bear was broken and small but I managed to come up with reasons and I think they are good reasons. If I was the person who was thinking of buying this I would have bought it.

Nga Tae

We are learning to communicate about physical characteristics in Te Reo Maori. I can identify some Maori colours. I enjoyed learning about Maori colours because we got to learn how to say the colours in New Zealand sign language as well.

Narrative Writing

I was learning to describe the setting. I can use descriptive words to describe the setting. It was easy because I saw a lot of things in the picture.

Instruction Writing

I was learning to write instructions. I can write my instructions in the right order. I can use a variety of verbs in my instructions. I like my Monster Soup recipe because it's different from other soups.

Feelings Art

This term we have been learning all about emotions. We watched the movie Inside Out. We did some artwork about feelings and the characters from the movie. I love my artwork because I like that it has my favourite emotion in the artwork. My favourite emotion is: anger.

Sea Week Art

I am learning to blend colours using paint. My favourite part of doing this art work was when we splattered the white paint all over the art work. I love this art work because it reminds me of bubbles and my older sister calls me bubble.

Swimming

My favourite part of our swimming lesson is when we do a whirlpool. I find it tricky to do hand stands under water but i'm still practising. I love swimming because it keeps you warm on cold days.
