I am learning to remember finger spaces and full stops, and sound out new words.

"I can write lots of words.  I learn more words all the time. I can write more that three sentences when I do my writing.  Some words are tricky so I try to sound them out.  Mrs Wyatt says it is ok if they are spelt wrong, but we need to sound them out.  Mrs Wyatt helps me to write."

I am learning to read and recognise compound words.

"A compound word is one word with two words in it, like rain and bow, and put them together and it is 'rainbow'.  Rain comes down, and people wear a bow. My books are easy for me to read.  Mrs Wyatt, Mrs Sam, Mum, Dad, Zurielle and my sister helps me to read."
